CLEAN ENERGY.
PROSPEROUS COMMUNITIES.
OREGON POWERED.
Advancing Oregon clean energy at scale.
The Oregon Clean Competitive Power Alliance (OCCPA) is a coalition of Oregon-based clean energy developers advocating for policies that increase competition and accelerate the deployment of low cost renewable energy to achieve our state's ambitious climate goals.
We are experts in developing, permitting, constructing, operating, and maintaining clean power projects in Oregon.
Our combined solar projects generate over 70% of Oregon’s solar energy, and account for 75% of Oregon's solar pipeline. We play a vital role in the state's transition to a clean energy future.
We believe access to clean, reliable, affordable power should be available to all Oregonians— regardless of income or location.
Oregonians spend over $12B annually on energy that goes to out of state utility investors at prices that are unaffordable. We are working to remove institutional barriers to give Oregonians choice and agency over an essential service.
We advocate for strong communities, farmers, and wildlife.
Our members build relationships based on trust with landowners, state agencies, and local governments to ensure the benefits of clean energy are shared equitably, and vital farmland and habitat is protected.
Clean power produced in Oregon is a tremendous economic opportunity.
Oregon House Bill 2021 sets a goal for the state to transition to 100% clean and renewable energy by 2040, making it one of the most ambitious clean energy plans in the country. The economic benefits of achieving this goal would be transformative for the state. An estimated 46 GW of clean energy will need to be constructed to meet the statutory requirements.
If all new generation is built in Oregon by 2040, it will result in an estimated $15B in revenue for Oregon’s economy, and:
Jobs
✔ $10B in wages for Oregonians
✔ 6,900 average annual installation jobs
✔ 1,400 average annual jobs for operations and maintenance
Tax Revenue
✔ $2B in state tax revenue
✔ $121M average annual property tax revenue
✔ Reliable tax revenue for rural communities
Low Rates
✔ Low energy costs for Oregonians
